A thorough maintenance service to keep a saw in peak condition. Our full service includes complete cleaning of the saw (degreasing and removing wood dust), replacing the spark plug, cleaning or replacing the air filter, checking and tightening all bolts, lubricating moving parts, and testing all safety features. The guide bar will be cleaned, deburred, and oiled, the drive sprocket and clutch inspected for wear, and the chain will be sharpened or replaced as needed. After reassembly, each saw is test-run to ensure it starts easily, idles smoothly, and oils the chain properly. This comprehensive tune-up improves cutting performance and reliability – as well-maintained chainsaws cut better and are much safer, with a lower risk of malfunction or kickback.

Starting at £50

This covers any non-routine fixing of problems or broken components. Whether a saw is not starting, running poorly, or has suffered damage (e.g. broken pull starter, faulty ignition coil, cracked fuel lines, etc.), Chainsaw Revival will diagnose the issue and provide an estimate for repair. Common repair tasks include carburettor tuning or rebuilds (for fuel issues), chain brake repairs (if the safety brake is not engaging properly), oil pump fixes (when the chain isn’t being oiled), replacement of worn-out sprockets, clutch, anti-vibration mounts, and electrical system repairs on electric/battery saws.

POA

A service to keep chains cutting at their best. A dull chain greatly reduces a saw’s effectiveness and increases the risk of accidents due to forcing cuts. We offer chain sharpening by hand that ensure consistent angle and depth on every cutter tooth.

£5 for 20 inch bar and £1 for every extra inch.

For older or heavily used chainsaws, we offer a complete overhaul service. This is akin to an engine rebuild for a car. Reconditioning a pro-grade saw involves a complete strip-down, replacing key internal components like main crankshaft bearings and seals, and rebuilding the saw to like-new specifications. Chainsaw Revival can perform such overhauls for clients who have high-end saws that are worth refurbishing (typically professional STIHL or Husqvarna models). We will discuss the scope and budget with the client. This service gives “life-expired” chainsaws a second lease on life and is cheaper for the owner than buying a brand new equivalent saw.
